Wow! Is it nearly November already? I’ve been busy crocheting like crazy. In fact, I even crocheted while on vacation last month. I’m super dedicated to this project of spreading hugs to those with breathing problems and/or using oxygen.
The afghan I finished in September has already been shipped out and received by a lovely women in Illinois. Yay!!!
With this post, I am giving you my most recent update picture of the next afghan I’m working on. This one has already been tagged for a specific event. Remember, every afghan I make is given away at no charge because of kind & generous donors. My thanks to them for helping me keep this project going which helps me stay a little more active.
This afghan is full of bright, cheery colors to bring happiness and hugs to its recipient. It should be done soon.
I can’t wait to finish this afghan to give it away to someone who has breathing problems. I’m actually further along than the picture shows. I am also ready to get going on the next afghan! So exciting!!! I want to thank those who have recently and generously donated to my Need a Hug Project fund so that I may continue creating & giving away these afghans.
I’m so happy that my husband understands my need to spread love, joy and hugs to those who have breathing problems through these afghans. He’s such a great guy!
Wheww! This afghan took much longer than I thought it would but… Wow! It turned out great. The person getting this one will be so happy and well hugged! But don’t fear… I’ve already started my next Need a Hug afghan. I’ve chosen a fall color scheme for this next afghan. I think it will look lovely.
These afghan are crocheted and sent to those who have breathing problems and could use a hug. How can you help give hugs? By donating, a few dollars goes a long way in helping me purchase yarn and pay for the shipping cost to send these afghans out… even worldwide! The furthest I’ve sent one of my Need a Hug afghans was to New Zealand! How cool is that? A hug from Texas has reached all the way to New Zealand!! I couldn’t have done that without the generous help of all my donors. Lots of love to you!! Take a peek at my blog to see what life is like using oxygen. livingono2forlife.wordpress.com *HUGS* to you all!
This Need a Hug afghan is from a pattern I’ve never tried before. It’s a sampler stitch afghan. Plus, I added a few of my own stitches to make it bigger. It will be finished soon and going out in the mail within two weeks. I’m so excited to be able to spread a little sunshine and happiness in the recipient’s life just by making her an afghan full of hugs!
This is made possible by the donations I receive through GoFundMe. All donations go to the costs of yarn and postage to ship out the afghans. Without your help, I couldn’t make this happen. So, thank you so much for brightening these people’s lives. *HUG*
I’m so very excited about this month’s Need a Hug afghan. It is nearly finished, in fact I should have it finished within this weekend. Then I’ll drop it in the mail. This afghan is going to a sweet 19 year old who has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension as of 2014.
My next afghan will be going to an older woman who has breathing problems of a different diagnosis. I hope that each of the afghans I crochet will give the recipients a lot of hugs and smiles on their faces knowing that there are people who truly care about them.
As always, thank you so much to the generous donors to the Need a Hug project. Lots of love to you all!
